I went out one overcast morning with Raven Storm looking for fun textures. Sought out spaces where rusty metal meets weeds. Collected a ton of images from which to make "finder compositions."

Coming up, I drank some water. Sat on a bench. Watched kids watch gorillas watch people. Picnic of children and mothers in dresses pick nits from the fur of the family tree.

Desideratum is a series of gothic noir black-and-white digital images drawing on visual elements of stone, mist, shadow, exploring the mystic spaces between day and night, and drawing on themes of silence, longing, innocence, and unease.

There was a young man of the village whose mother sent him on a long journey. "This cat catches no mice. You must take the animal to my sister, who lives at the base of the mountain.
